Master Bitcoin Trading: Ultimate Confluence Strategy on TradingView

Trading successfully isn’t about relying on a single signal—it’s about stacking confirmations to build confidence in every trade. Today, let’s explore a powerful confluence strategy I regularly apply, illustrated through a recent Bitcoin trade.

Understanding Confluence

Confluence is about aligning multiple independent signals, each indicating market momentum from different perspectives. It’s like watching a set of Formula 1 lights—only when all lights turn green is it time to go. This minimizes risk and maximizes potential profit.

My Crypto Confluence Strategy

I recently demonstrated this using Bitcoin (BTC/USD) with four key indicators:

  • VWAP Predator (30 min chart): Detects short-term momentum.
  • xBrat Algo (2-hour Heikin Ashi): Provides powerful entry confirmations.
  • Roller Coaster (2-hour Heikin Ashi): Defines clear stops and entries.
  • Bias Depth Heatmap (15 min chart): Confirms market sentiment comprehensively.

Executing the Trade

On November 5th, I received a bullish signal from VWAP Predator, but one indicator isn’t enough. Soon after, the Roller Coaster also signaled a buy, while the Bias Depth Heatmap turned fully green. Finally, the xBrat Algo confirmed with a strong six-star buy signal.

With all four signals aligned—full confluence—I confidently entered Bitcoin at $70,000, placing my initial stop at $66,796 (defined by the Roller Coaster signal).

Managing and Maximizing the Trade

Trade management is crucial. Using the xBrat Manager indicator, I patiently watched Bitcoin rise, navigating sideways consolidation periods (marked by low volume) without prematurely tightening stops. By applying step-management—adjusting stops below confirmed pivot points—I locked in profits while still giving the trade room to breathe.

Ultimately, I exited when the Manager turned red, signaling reduced momentum, closing the trade at $97,000. That’s a substantial move—capturing a 40% gain with clear and structured risk management.

The Power of Confluence

Combining multiple indicators might mean fewer trades, but their quality dramatically increases. In fact, my data shows confluence strategies boast win rates over 95%. It’s about trading less frequently but with greater accuracy and confidence.

Confluence isn’t about coincidence—it’s strategic alignment. If you’re looking to level up your trading, consider applying a confluence strategy. To explore deeper insights and advanced confluence techniques, grab a copy of my book, Confluence Not Coincidence, available on Amazon.
